Julie's Annual Birthday Party/Fundraiser for the Avon Breast
Cancer Walk, Santa Cruz, Saturday. March 31, 2007
Several of you know that I am doing the Avon Breast Cancer 40 mile walk in
July. I have to raise $1800 in order to participate. That is where you come in.
On March 31st I turn 45, so I am having a birthday party fundraiser. It's $20 to
get in. There will be music, dancing, food, drinks, beautiful people, etc. It is
BYOB if you have something specific you want to drink bring it, but I will have
a few things on hand including a HUGE vat of hard PINK Twisted Lemonade, Santa
Cruz Sangria, Margarita Hooter Shooters and our famous Jello-shots.
In an effort to reach that $1800 goal we will havd several activities and
hi-jinx going on. Everyone who wears PINK will get a free raffle ticket at the
door. We will also be selling additional raffle tickets and the return of the
Kisses for a Cure Kissing Committee. Pucker Up, kisses for a buck! Since I will
be turning 45 I will also be selling spanks for $1 a piece. 45 spanks? Ouch! And
Mistress Yami will be coming around with paddle in hand to issue or receive
spanks to willing participants. Buy a spank for a friend? Or send one to that
someone special across the room! Remember it is for a good cause!
It starts at 7pm and goes until whenever. As usual, feel free to bring a
sleeping bag, pillow and something soft to sleep on cause my floors are hard!
There are also several hotels close by if you want to make a weekend of it in
Santa Cruz and off season pricing is still in effect. When was the last time you
had brunch at the beach? Check out
http://www.santacruzca.org/index.shtml for
hotels, rates and availability.
If my memory recalls, we had 110 people there last year, but then again I
don't remember much after the 2nd cosmo. Doh!
Cost is $20 if you pay before March 29. It is a donation to the Avon Walk for
Breast Cancer. It is payable in advance via the paypal - the link is on the
Evite. Because we are limited to 125 people it is on a first come first served
basis. If you don't pay by March 27th it goes up and there is a penalty for
paying at the door:
$20 if paid by before March 29th; $30 if paid between March 29-31; $50 at the door with no
RSVP
BAF members will have pink name tags. Civilians (the few people
there who don't have H) will have yellow name tags. That way you can
differentiate from who is in BAF and who are my friends and family. =) According
to my friends and family - BAF is my singles, social club. Some know it's H and
some don't.
If you have a guitar or other musical instrument, bring it for jamming around
the fire pit! We were up til 4am last year. Yeah! Thanks in Advance.
Help in cleaning up on Sunday morning will be much appreciated. After the
clean-up, we'll go out for brunch at the Ideal Cafe on the Wharf.
See you Saturday! ~Julie
