The halls will be decked, the tree trimmed and the mistletoe hung with care. Each year this party keeps getting bigger and better and I am hoping this year will be the best yet! I will be providing a full holiday meal complete with dessert. You will need to bring your favorite holiday cheer or other beverages. And a donation for our Holiday Charity. More details to come on the charity donations - stay tuned. If you have been to this party before, you know it is not to be missed! Here is how the pricing works: - $15 if you RSVP & pay before Dec. 4th- $20 if you RSVP & pay between Dec. 5th & 8th - $30 if you RSVP & pay at the door It is for a complete Holiday meal - appetizers, prime rib, ham, turkey, salad, rolls, dessert, etc. And yes, Helen, I will make the green beans with almonds again. The whole idea here is to RSVP early so I can adequately prepare for the amount of people coming! This party costs more than $1,000 to put on, so there is a reason I have to charge for it. If you have been to it before, you know what I mean. Also, there are NO refunds. Sorry, but PayPal charges a transaction fee and this party is an accounting nightmare as it is. Everyone is more than welcome to spend the night, because nobody drives drunk. Historically several people have gotten hotel rooms in Santa Cruz and make a weekend out of it. For hotel rooms, check out http://www.santacruz.ca.org and click on lodging. Two of the hotels we're recommending are the Mission Inn and Sunset Inn on Mission Ave, about 1/2 mile to Julie's House The Seaway Inn at the intersection of Bay and West Cliff Ave. is not offering us any discounts to us this year. If you're interested in sharing hotel rooms, post your requests on the BAF Yahoo Group Message Board. Attire is elegant. Ladies, it's time to dust off that little black cocktail dress or go shopping at Macy's. Gents, we want to see you spiffed up! No jeans, please. Please use the Evite function to RSVP to the party even if you have emailed me that you are coming. It helps keeping track much easier! To request the Evite - which includes my address and my phone number, email me at: julie @ bayareafriends.org Cheers!
